ABOUT
M-flock is a mobile extension service for Zambian farmers. It is a comprehensive solution for Livestock farmers designed not only to support them with livestock production but also to connect farmers to vital players in their agricultural ecosystem. A USSD and internet based application that will give farmers access to information, access to essential services such as Veterinary services, financial institutions, Insurance Companies, markets and other Livestock value chain players.

"The livestock sub-sector is one of the fastest growing sectors with an average annual growth rate of about 20%. However, high prevalence of livestock disease and low productivity continues to hamper this development with over 60% of Livestock owners having their livestock affected by disease. Further more, only 40% of Livestock farmers have access to veterinary services."

OUR STORY
After working for over 8 years in various agriculture focused organisations, our Founder discovered that one fundamental challenge faced by farmers in Zambia and to a large extent across Africa is the lack of knowledge by many farmers. This is as a result of limited attention given to extension services. In Africa, we inherited farming as an art, but it has evolved. Evolved to a science, a precise science at that. from this, stems our core passion to empower not only Livestock farmers but other agriculture value chains players with access to information and services that will make processes and services that would ordinarily cost time and money. By providing real time, easy and consumable information, Livestock farmers would the reduce the mortality rate of their Livestock due to disease. They would improve the quality of their livestock and have access to various markets.
OUR VISION
Our vision is to have an agriculture system that actually benefits farmers, gives consumers quality produce and make agriculture a truly sustainable livelihood for the over eight million Zambians involved in the craft.
We desire to see farmers flourish wish exceptional farm produce, have access to vital information, services and markets. Only then we will realize the Sustainable Development Goals of 1. Ending Poverty, 2. Zero Hunger and 3. Responsible consumption and Production.
OUR TECHNOLOGY
Our tech is that of sophistication yet simple. We believe creating technology that is simple and easily digestible by all users and consumers. That is why M-Flock is on many platforms as possible, from an Android app to USSD and SMS. We are currently exploring a voice platform which would allow users to dial a toll free and access our service. We also intend to translate our USSD and SMS platform to 2 local languages in Phase One, 5 in Phase two and all 7 local languages in phase 3.

Andy likes to be referred to as the "Visionary" at M-Flock but his official title is Founder & CEO.
Andy is extremely passionate about agriculture and alleviating poverty in Zambia especially among farmers.
Sanka
Sanka is our Chief Financial Officer. She is our resident NUMBERS GUY and handles all things finance. She is responsible for strategic and tactical matters as they relate to
budget management, cost benefit analysis, forecasting needs and the securing of new funding .
Mwansa
Mwansa is our Chief Operating Officer. Passionate about entrepreneurship and business, he brings to M-Flock vast experience and knowledge in International Relations and business development .
Mwenda
Mwenda is our Livestock Lead. He is an enigmatic fellow with a knack for animal health. A Veterinary Doctor by profession, He is passionate about all things livestock.
Dennis
Dennis is our Chief Technology Officer. Our in-house tech guru whose core responsibility is to ensure all M-Flock platforms run as smoothly as possible. A seasoned Software Engineer, he brings to M-Flock enough knowledge to wow you and the demeanor to charm you.
